Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 5)— A dengue outbreak has been declared throughout the province of Iloilo on Friday, its local government confirmed.
Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Jr. made the directive through Executive Order no 16, citing a “continuous rise” of dengue cases in the province.
At least 3,897 cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever, a mosquito-borne disease, have been recorded in the province since January 1, 2019.
The governor likewise directed all district and provincial hospitals to extend free services and necessary assistance to all patients.
This is a developing story.
